Over the course of her own spiritual journey, Nykhia Azostos engaged in much shadow work and a sense of fighting “demons” that is, in many ways, a truly integral part of the healing journey. To grow, we must face the discomfort of shedding our old skin and becoming vulnerable enough to accept a new one. Nykhia found that many spiritual spaces she encountered did not touch much, if at all, on this experience. There was an emphasis on mostly positive outlooks and a seeming rejection of the shadow side of healing. The Liminal Sanctuary came to be when Nykhia felt compelled to open a space for true duality in spirituality and healing.

There cannot be sunrise without sunset. There cannot be light without dark. The Liminal Sanctuary serves as the in-between spaces.
